Questions

Before you shoot.

What is Dailies?
An iPhone app that turns one idea into a short film with spoken dialogue and sound. You type or dictate a premise, an AI Director writes the screenplay, you prepare opening stills on a board, and each shot is rendered as AI video and cut into a film of 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
How much does it cost?
Dailies is free to download. A new account starts with free welcome credits, enough for a 30-second film at the default 768p, and every sample brief comes with a ready-made script at no cost. After that, stills and shots are paid in credits, and every price is shown before anything renders. There are weekly and monthly plans, and extra-credit packs alongside a plan.
Do I need filmmaking or editing skills?
No. The script, the board and the cut are prepared for you, and you can change every line, shot length and camera cue. Reshoot any shot, or give it a one-line direction instead of starting over.
Are the voices text-to-speech?
No. Spoken dialogue and sound are rendered with each shot by the video model; Dailies uses no text-to-speech.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 27 or later. There is no Android version.
Are the films labelled as AI?
Yes. Every saved film ends on a short credits card that says it was made with AI (it can be switched off per film) and carries AI-provenance metadata in the file.
What happens to my ideas and photos?
Briefs, scripts, directions and reference photos go to the AI providers only to make your film, and the app asks for your consent first. Finished films save to Photos on your iPhone and are posted nowhere unless you share them. The privacy policy names every provider.
Who can use Dailies?
Adults 18 or older. You sign in with Apple; no name or email address is asked for.
